[Report] The Launching Ceremony of the 'Again Pyeongchang 2042' Cycling Journey

I am Yang Sung-chul, Public Relations Director of the Again Pyeongchang 2042 Promotion Group. On May 4, 2026, I attended the launching ceremony of the global cycling campaign to support the re-hosting of the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

About the Cycling Journey The launching ceremony took place at Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza at 8:00 AM. Representative Kim Young-gyo embarked on an approximately 15-month journey to cover 50,000 km across Eurasia and Africa, aiming to promote the 2042 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic bid to the world.

The Vision and Legacy This journey builds upon the legacy of our past activities, including the 2,014 km roller-skiing in 2007 and the 10,000 km cycling tour in 2025. The spirit of Pyeongchang continues to grow, and our promotion group remains dedicated to laying the foundation for future success.
